It had been long day in the Cage, but it had paid off. Sadye's pockets jingled with the coin she'd earned from showing prime around the Great Bazaar and she was ready to reap the rewards of a nice snifter full of brandy.

As she settled into the barstool and called out her order, a black-furred, jackal-headed man...or at least she assumed that was what it was...slid in beside her. "Now where does a lucky git like me find such a beautiful gem as yourself," he said with a not-so-smooth smile.

"Not interested, basher," Sadye replied easily. She smelled a peel or something just as bad. Maybe the berk'd had too much to drink. Whatever it was, she didn't want to be involved.

The jackal had other thoughts, though. "Aw, come on sweetness. I don't bite hard, so what's your price, huh?"

Sadye turned on him, anger creasing her brow. "Do I LOOK like a jinkskirt to you!?"

"Well, I'm..."

"...because I ain't!"

"...I just thought...

"an' if ya think for one bleedin' second I am..."

"Wait, now...I've just arrived here and..and everyone knows that all demons are---UMPH!" He was cut off by Sadye's fist connecting with his jaw.

"Rule one to surviving in the Cage...never make assumptions, ESPECIALLY about fiends." Sadye said with a growl. She then turned and grabbed her snifter, making her way out mumbling, "Welcome to the City of Sods, berk..."

*adds in edit* The words "a doubt" was supposed to be found between Without and One, but somehow my brain misplaced them. It does that a lot. I blame the doctors for dropping me on my head when I was born. >.>
